Hi friends! I’m currently enjoying day 2 of my Spring Break and lovin’ every minute of it! I’m catching up on some things I’ve been wanting to share with y’all and just haven’t had time so let’s get started!
Today I wanted to share a little something I’ve been doing to get my kids aware of their thinking. Using these levels of understanding posters, the students self assess BEFORE and AFTER the lesson. At the beginning of the lesson, I have the kids write a number (using the levels of understanding as a guide) on the top of their paper showing what they know about whatever the topic of the lesson is. Then, at the end of the lesson, they write another number beside their original number and circle it. This way they can see how much their learning has changed throughout the lesson.
