Happy Monday, friends! Today I wanted to share with y’all a new thing I’m trying out in the classroom. I always have the kids talk with each other about the text and discuss their thoughts and views. For the most part, they always do well with this and stay on task, but there’s always a few that need a little extra guidance. I thought these Accountable Talk Stems would work perfectly! Thanks! These are a great way to get kids started on learning how to talk to each other in meaningful ways. I think too many teachers forget that kids need to learn how to discuss things with each other. So often, they're just put in groups and just told to talk about ______.
