Teacher Fashion: What I Wore to Work/Weekend Wear

Beauty· lifestyle· Uncategorized

Hi y’all! It’s currently 8:13am and I’m sitting on the couch in my PJs while writing this blog post. And it’s a Wednesday. That must mean it’s Thanksgiving break! Yay! I am loving life right now. I spent all day yesterday decorating my house for Christmas. I wish every week could be Thanksgiving week. Don’t get me wrong; I love my teaching job, but I LOVE staying home!
Here’s a recap of last week’s fashion. Some outfits I wore to work and some are weekend wear/after school outfits. We aren’t allowed to wear jeans to work, so any outfit that includes jeans is definitely not a work outfit! 🙂
top: BP. // scarf: BP. (sold out, similar here and here) // jeans: Articles of Society // boots: Seven Dial
I spent Sunday at Target stocking up on Christmas tree decor. I am almost finished with it, but I still need a few little embellishments and a tree skirt. Maybe a blog post when I finish? Let me know! 🙂

top: BP. // vest: Old Navy // jeans: Current Elliot // shoes: Sam Edelman (sold out, similar here) // earrings: Kendra Scott
On Saturday, I ran a few errands, which included stopping by Lowes to grab some wintergreens for my front porch. Goodbye mums, hello evergreens! 🙂 These vests are currently 40% off. I love them. They are comfortable and easy to wear. Some vests are chunky and binding, but these fit great.

sweater: Free People // leggings: Zella // shoes: Sam Edelman (sold out, similar here) // handbag: Tory Burch (old, similar here) // sunglasses: Quay // earrings: BaubleBar // bracelet: Express (ooooold)
Friday was such a busy day, so I didn’t get to take a better picture of this outfit because I didn’t get home until way past dark. I snapped this as I was leaving that morning, so it isn’t the best quality, but it’ll just have to do! This sweater is one of my favorites. I love everything about it from the color, to the texture, to the fit. It’s one of those tops you don’t have to think about. You can just throw it on and you’ve got an outfit! 🙂

cardigan: H&M // top: BP. // leggings: Zella // shoes: Tory Burch // handbag: Kate Spade (old, similar here) // necklace: Kendra Scott // necklace: Kendra Scott // earrings: Kendra Scott // lipcolor: MAC in Candy Yum Yum
When I saw this $24 leopard cardigan, I knew I had to have it. It is amazing quality for the price and I LOVE the longer length. You can wear it with leggings and it comes to right above the knee. Seriously one of my new favorite pieces at the moment.

wrap: Nordstrom // top: BP. // jeans: Articles of Society // boots: Jack Rogers // necklace: Kendra Scott // sunglasses: Quay
I wore this buffalo check wrap on Tuesday with black pants, but I changed into jeans after school. I am loving any and all buffalo check pieces right now. This wrap is like wearing a big cozy blanket to work. I love it!
Happy Thanksgiving, friends! Let me know if you want to see a home tour because my house is currently decorated from top to bottom in all things Christmas! 🙂 🙂

But will Jess’s heart soar, too? Nick is the last guy on earth she should love . . . but what if he is really all she wants for Christmas?
What I read this week 🩷📖 It took me all wee What I read this week 🩷📖

It took me all week to read The Favorites by Layne Fargo, which usually means I’m not loving a book, but I’m thrilled that’s not the case with this book! It was just a super busy week for me so I didn’t read as much every day as I wanted, but I absolutely LOVED this book! It releases January 14, so mark your calendars now! I don’t even love figure skating/ ice dancing (honestly I’ve never even heard of this) and I still was obsessed with this book. Highly highly recommend!

Synopsis:

She might not have a famous name, funding, or her family’s support, but Katarina Shaw has always known that she was destined to become an Olympic skater. When she meets Heath Rocha, a lonely kid stuck in the foster care system, their instant connection makes them a formidable duo on the ice. Clinging to skating—and each other—to escape their turbulent lives, Kat and Heath go from childhood sweethearts to champion ice dancers, captivating the world with their scorching chemistry, rebellious style, and roller-coaster relationship.

Until a shocking incident at the Olympic Games brings their partnership to a sudden end.

As the ten-year anniversary of their final skate approaches, an unauthorized documentary reignites the public obsession with Shaw and Rocha, claiming to uncover the “real story” through interviews with their closest friends and fiercest rivals. Kat wants nothing to do with the documentary, but she can’t stand the thought of someone else defining her legacy. So, after a decade of silence, she’s telling her story: from the childhood tragedies that created her all-consuming bond with Heath to the clash of desires that tore them apart. Sensational rumors have haunted their every step for years, but the truth may be even more shocking than the headlines
