Let’s recap what I read back in August. This was right in the middle of the biggest reading slump that I have ever been in. I could not find ANYTHING that kept my attention. I even tried 2 or 3 books that I read over 150 pages in and couldn’t even finish them. It was rough! I decided to pick 5 books and make myself read them in order to get out of the slump. I read half of them at the end of July and half during the beginning of August. I filmed a little Youtube video if you want to check it out. 🙂
Here’s what I read during the month of August.
I LOVE Michele Campbell’s books, so I was really looking forward to her newest thriller-A Stranger on the Beach. I loved this one. I still love her book from last year the best-She Was the Quiet One, but this one was so good and unputdownable.

2019 has definitely been the year of rom coms and I am loving it! Well Met had been on my radar for the longest, so I was excited to see it as one of the choices for Book of the Month. I don’t know what it was about this book, but I absolutely LOVED it! It was the cutest, sweetest little romance. Highly recommend!

Kimberly Belle is one of my go to authors. She never disappoints and Dear Wife was no exception. I loved this thriller. It kept me guessing until the very end. I could NOT figure it out and couldn’t turn the page fast enough! Loved it!

This was part of my 5 book challenge to get me out of my reading slump. Prep is in my top 3 ALL TIME favorite books ever. I absolutely love this boarding school coming of age story. I’ve probably reread this book 7-8 times, but every single time I love it just as much as the first. It’s SOOOO good!

This was our July book for #lalalifebookclub and I was really excited about it. Megan Miranda wrote All the Missing Girls, which is one of my all time favorite thrillers, but this one just did not work for me at all. I couldn’t wait to finish this book and move onto something else. I couldn’t have cared less about what was happening and just didn’t connect with any of the characters. I hate to say it, but this one was just not the book for me.
