Have y’all ever read about bullet journaling? I stumbled upon this on Pinterest (of course!) and thought it looked so fun! It’s basically a form of agenda planning or scrapbooking. It’s a fun little hobby. I’m not always in the mood to do it, but sometimes it’s a fun escape to work on while watching TV or listening to music.
There are tons of page ideas on Pinterest. I like to make lists in mine and keep up with books I’ve read and movies I want to watch. I just completed my summer reading list and thought I’d share that page with y’all. I also finished a movies to watch page and a “one word month” page. I love the idea of the “one word month”. You simply create a monthly layout and then write in one word for each day that you would use to describe that day. I think this is so fun to look back at and see what your month was like. Since it’s May and I’m a teacher, my month is filled with all sorts of CRAZY! 🙂 🙂

As y’all know, I love reading all year long, but summer reading is extra special! That’s when a lot of new releases come out and since I’m a teacher, I use summer to catch up on all my favorites because I have time to really concentrate on a book and not have a million and one other things on my mind. I always make a list of books that are being released in the upcoming months, so I included that in my bullet journal.

I love the idea of keeping lists in the journal to keep track of things like movies to be watch. I did a page for this and then colored in the ones I’ve watched. I realized after I colored these that since they were pieces of popcorn I shouldn’t have done multi colored! Oh well!
When I posted a pic on Instagram a while ago, a lot of people asked me what kind of journal I used. I don’t get super technical with this hobby. I just use a plain ole regular notebook! I found this cute one at TJ Maxx and bought it because it reminded me of Mean Girls and who doesn’t love Mean Girls. The movie, not actual girls who are mean! 😉
Pens are the key to a good bullet journal page! I just bought these sharpie art pens at Target and LOVE them! They don’t bleed at all!

My all time favorites are the Staedtler triplus fineliner pens, but the Sharpie art pens may just surpass them!

After reading this book, I decided to try out these next two types of pens and I really like them too!

What I read this week 🩷📖 It took me all wee What I read this week 🩷📖

It took me all week to read The Favorites by Layne Fargo, which usually means I’m not loving a book, but I’m thrilled that’s not the case with this book! It was just a super busy week for me so I didn’t read as much every day as I wanted, but I absolutely LOVED this book! It releases January 14, so mark your calendars now! I don’t even love figure skating/ ice dancing (honestly I’ve never even heard of this) and I still was obsessed with this book. Highly highly recommend!

Synopsis:

She might not have a famous name, funding, or her family’s support, but Katarina Shaw has always known that she was destined to become an Olympic skater. When she meets Heath Rocha, a lonely kid stuck in the foster care system, their instant connection makes them a formidable duo on the ice. Clinging to skating—and each other—to escape their turbulent lives, Kat and Heath go from childhood sweethearts to champion ice dancers, captivating the world with their scorching chemistry, rebellious style, and roller-coaster relationship.

Until a shocking incident at the Olympic Games brings their partnership to a sudden end.

As the ten-year anniversary of their final skate approaches, an unauthorized documentary reignites the public obsession with Shaw and Rocha, claiming to uncover the “real story” through interviews with their closest friends and fiercest rivals. Kat wants nothing to do with the documentary, but she can’t stand the thought of someone else defining her legacy. So, after a decade of silence, she’s telling her story: from the childhood tragedies that created her all-consuming bond with Heath to the clash of desires that tore them apart. Sensational rumors have haunted their every step for years, but the truth may be even more shocking than the headlines
