Christmas Living Room 2017 Tour

Home Decor· lifestyle· Uncategorized

Merry Christmas, y’all! December 5th isn’t too early to start saying that, is it?! I’m not one of those people who just absolutely loves Christmas and considers this time of year to be the most wonderful time of year (I much prefer spring and summer!), but I’ve got to admit I’m really into Christmas this year! The weather in Alabama has been quite warm the past two winters (last Christmas day was in the 70s!), but we’ve already had several cool/cold days this year and I think that’s helped get me into the holiday spirit!
I decorated my house for Christmas over Thanksgiving break and today I’m sharing my living room with y’all. Let me know if you want a tour of the kitchen and front porch! 🙂
I’ll link anything that’s still currently available under each picture.
Here’s an overview of most of the living room. I bought a sectional couch two years ago and absolutely love it, but it is massive! It takes up the entire living room and doesn’t allow room for pretty much anything else. It comes in three pieces, so I removed one end piece and that made it a little smaller and therefore gave me more options for placement. It is beyond comfy, but gigantic!

I got this little table a local store called Myrtle Janes. If you are ever in Fort Payne, Alabama, you must visit the store! You can follow their Instagram and Facebook page for daily updates so you can see all the pretty things that are in the store! It’s just the neatest!

These grapevine snowmen came from Pier One a few years ago, but I found some similar ones here.

I found this pretty little Christmas/Winter print last year at a local antique/junk store. I had it framed at Hobby Lobby and then displayed it next to the tree!

Tree skirt is from Michaels. Grapevine presents are from pier one a few years back. I found some similar ones here and here.

Santa is from Target and still available!

This white tree is from Target. The exact one isn’t available, but I did find a similar one here.

Red plaid pillow is from TJ Maxx and says ‘merry’ on the front (I just have it flip over). The black and white check throw is a wrap from Michaels (It was on sale a few weekends back and I snagged it for $6!) Snowman is from TJ Maxx last year.

The book shelf is from Myrtle Jane’s. The plate is from Pier 1 last year, but still available here. The little trees are from a local antique store. The little houses are from Target and can be found here and here. The small crate is from Target (last year). The “Merry Christmas” sign is from TJ Maxx (this year)

The wooden trees are from the Target dollar spot (this year).

This little mirror/chest is another Myrtle Jane’s find as are the two pillows and little grapevine wreath. The handmade “JOY” sign is from another little local store in Attalla, Alabama called Blossom. You can visit their Facebook page here.

The white wash wooden tree is from TJ Maxx (last year).
That’s my living room! Let me know if you want to see my kitchen/front porch! I love doing little blog posts like this so I can look back and remember my house. I’m crossing my fingers that this time next year I will be in my new house! 🙂 🙂

Synopsis:
All Jessica has ever wanted is her own happily ever after. But will Jess’s heart soar, too? Nick is the last guy on earth she should love . . . but what if he is really all she wants for Christmas?
What I read this week 🩷📖 It took me all wee What I read this week 🩷📖

It took me all week to read The Favorites by Layne Fargo, which usually means I’m not loving a book, but I’m thrilled that’s not the case with this book! It was just a super busy week for me so I didn’t read as much every day as I wanted, but I absolutely LOVED this book! It releases January 14, so mark your calendars now! I don’t even love figure skating/ ice dancing (honestly I’ve never even heard of this) and I still was obsessed with this book. Highly highly recommend!

Thanks for my early review copy, @atrandombooks

Synopsis:

She might not have a famous name, funding, or her family’s support, but Katarina Shaw has always known that she was destined to become an Olympic skater. When she meets Heath Rocha, a lonely kid stuck in the foster care system, their instant connection makes them a formidable duo on the ice. Clinging to skating—and each other—to escape their turbulent lives, Kat and Heath go from childhood sweethearts to champion ice dancers, captivating the world with their scorching chemistry, rebellious style, and roller-coaster relationship.

Until a shocking incident at the Olympic Games brings their partnership to a sudden end.

As the ten-year anniversary of their final skate approaches, an unauthorized documentary reignites the public obsession with Shaw and Rocha, claiming to uncover the “real story” through interviews with their closest friends and fiercest rivals. Kat wants nothing to do with the documentary, but she can’t stand the thought of someone else defining her legacy. So, after a decade of silence, she’s telling her story: from the childhood tragedies that created her all-consuming bond with Heath to the clash of desires that tore them apart. Sensational rumors have haunted their every step for years, but the truth may be even more shocking than the headlines
