Empties (a long overdue post!)

Beauty· lifestyle· Uncategorized

Let me start off by saying that I am not a hoarder. I didn’t realize how long I had been saving empties, y’all! I should have done a post a month ago and recycled! There is A LOT to talk about today!
I didn’t take individual pictures of each product because that would have taken forever. Instead, I broke the picture into two parts and I’ll share my thoughts on each product that way! 🙂
Clean on Me (travel size)- Soap and Glory Body Wash
I was tickled pink to find this at Ulta. Ulta just open in my area last year, which is wonderful news because the nearest Sephora is over an hour away. I love Sephora way more than Ulta, but I’m still happy to see Ulta come my way! Which do you prefer?
Anways, as for my thoughts on the product. You cannot go wrong with Soap and Glory! The smells is simply the best in the world!
Origins Face Cleanser
I’ve always heard great things about the Origins brand, so I was excited to try this one. I LOVED it! The only problem I have with it is the price. This one was $25 and didn’t seem to last all that long. With that being said, it did do a wonderful job cleaning my face. My skin felt very smooth after using this product. You can’t get it at Ulta though, so I always have to wait for a trip to Sephora or order it, which typically makes me try other products that are more readily available in my area.
BBW Sunset By the Pool Shower Gel
Do you ever go in Bath and Body Works and everything you smell smells amazing? And then you get home and think “ew! Why did I think that smelled good??” During their semi annual sale at the beginning of the summer, I went a little crazy in the store and bought a ton of shower gels. I don’t even like their shower gels! Everything just smelled so good! Then I got home and realized what I did. I’ve finally finished using the shower gels and let me tell you: I don’t think I’ll be purchasing anymore! Their scents are always really heavy and I prefer a more light, fresh scent! Plus, I find that they aren’t that moisturizing.
Chi Shampoo
LOVE. It was on sale at Ulta, which is why I purchased it. I normally don’t spend that much on shampoo, but after using this and the conditioner, I might splurge more often! I could smell this in my hair all day long. I LOVE it!
Fish Oil and Hair, Skin, and Nails
I love these from Nature’s Mate. I cannot find the Fish Oil vitamins with the lemon scent anymore and the Hair Skin and Nails vitamins that I have now aren’t as good as these. This is the best brand I’ve tried so far!
Herbal Essence Body Wash
I LOVE the scent of Herbal Essence, so I was super happy to find the body wash, but sadly I was disappointed. While this lathered really well, it wasn’t moisturizing at all! I will not be repurchasing.
Peach Nectar Soy Candle
This was an impulse purchase at Anthropology. It smelled amazing and it made my house smell great, but the smell didn’t last and the candle was $25! I wasn’t as thrilled with it as I should have been for $25!
No. 7 Make Up Remover Wipes
I tried these after seeing another beauty blogger rave about them, but I don’t like them as well as these. I found them to be dry, which made it harder to remove my makeup.
Poolside Breeze Victoria’s Secret Body Lotion
This was from 2 years ago I believe and I finally finished it. I LOVE this scent. Smells just like summer! 🙂
Pantene Dry Shampoo
I am always trying new dry shampoos and this was a huge disappointment. Yuck! It was basically a can of air. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this or repurchase it.
Mane and Tail Hand and Nail Lotion
I stumbled upon this little product at Sally’s and immediately purchased it. I LOVE this brand and this lotion really helped soften my hands! Love, love, love!
Carress Body Wash in Tahitian Renewal
Perfect for summer!
Jergens Wet Skin
This was a June favorite. The best wet lotion I’ve tried. Love!
Tone Body Wash
Also a favorite. This is the best fruity smell ever!
It’s a Ten Miracle Leave in Spray (Lite)
This was just okay. I didn’t notice a difference in my hair, but I did like the smell. I won’t repurchase, even though my old hair stylist loved it!
Body Scrubs
You can read about all 4 body scrubs here. Body scrubs have changed my skin. I swear by them now! FYI Tree Hut scrubs are the absolute best!!
Essie’s Foot Cream
LOVE! Especially paired with the oil. I found mine at Target.
BBW Candle in Beautiful Day
I didn’t realize BBW had candles in actual collection scents. I just thought they had seasonal scents that were for candles only. I ordered this one and fell in love! I love this scent from BBW and found this to be a great scent for my bedroom. I’m all about seasonal candles in my main living spaces, but for my bedrooms I prefer clean, year round scents.  Suntan is another bedroom favorite.
Skinmate Shaving Gel
Can you go wrong with a shaving cream? I’ve never had an issue with one and this one is no exception!
Say Yes to Coconuts Body Scrub
Yuck! Out of all the body scrubs I’ve tried (and yes, there have been many), this was the worse! Plus the scent was sickening! Not repurchasing!
Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration After Tan Lotion
Seeing this makes me miss summer already. Can we go back? This is the best product for applying after tanning! Not only does it supposedly extend the life of your tan, but it makes your skin feel amazing!
St. Tropez Self Tanner
Now that summer is sadly over, I am an avid user of the self tanner. St. Tropez is by far the most expensive, but the best! Invest in the mit though!
Jergens Cherry Almond Lotion
My favorite drugstore lotion. Love!
Philopohy’s Island Margartita foot cream
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!!!! I stumbled upon this at TJ Maxx, so I’m not sure the retail price, but you can bet I’m on the lookout for this product!
Netrogena Clarifying Shampoo
Do you use a clarifying shampoo? I try to use one once a week to really clean my hair and get the build up out. This is my favorite clarifying shampoo. Love!
Dove Body Wash
My favorite of all the body washes. Dove is by far the most moisturizing!
Beautiful Day Hand Soap
I’ve already talked about the scent. What else can you say about a soap? Love!
Pink Lemonade Fizz Gel Lotion from BBW
Another favorite from July. I LOVED the gel lotion line this summer!!!

I totally agree on the Pantene dry shampoo! My first time buying this type of product and I am SO disappointed in it. Have one you like?

What I read this week 🩷📖 It took me all wee What I read this week 🩷📖

It took me all week to read The Favorites by Layne Fargo, which usually means I’m not loving a book, but I’m thrilled that’s not the case with this book! It was just a super busy week for me so I didn’t read as much every day as I wanted, but I absolutely LOVED this book! It releases January 14, so mark your calendars now! I don’t even love figure skating/ ice dancing (honestly I’ve never even heard of this) and I still was obsessed with this book. Highly highly recommend!

Synopsis:

She might not have a famous name, funding, or her family’s support, but Katarina Shaw has always known that she was destined to become an Olympic skater. When she meets Heath Rocha, a lonely kid stuck in the foster care system, their instant connection makes them a formidable duo on the ice. Clinging to skating—and each other—to escape their turbulent lives, Kat and Heath go from childhood sweethearts to champion ice dancers, captivating the world with their scorching chemistry, rebellious style, and roller-coaster relationship.

Until a shocking incident at the Olympic Games brings their partnership to a sudden end.

As the ten-year anniversary of their final skate approaches, an unauthorized documentary reignites the public obsession with Shaw and Rocha, claiming to uncover the “real story” through interviews with their closest friends and fiercest rivals. Kat wants nothing to do with the documentary, but she can’t stand the thought of someone else defining her legacy. So, after a decade of silence, she’s telling her story: from the childhood tragedies that created her all-consuming bond with Heath to the clash of desires that tore them apart. Sensational rumors have haunted their every step for years, but the truth may be even more shocking than the headlines
