November Romances and Rom Coms
Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan (11/15)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
I have heard so many glowing reviews for this book. I know Kennedy Ryan is a popular author, but I’ve never read any of her books. I am SO excited for this one though!
The Rewind by Allison Winn Scotch (11/1)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
This book involves so many of my favorite things: the 90s, a New England campus, going back in time, and second-chance romance. I love Allison Winn Scotch, so I have high hopes for this one!
Never Rescue a Rogue by Virginia Heath (11/8)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
I loved the first book in this series, Never Fall For Your Fiancee, but don’t worry if you haven’t read it. This one can be read as a stand-alone. If you love Bridgerton but aren’t too sure about historical romances, this is the perfect series to start with. It’s not confusing like some historical romances can be with all the terminology. This reads like a modern-day rom-com but is set in the 1800s.
Two Wrongs Make a Right by Chloe Liese (11/22)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
Chloe Liese is another popular author that I’ve never read, but this book has been on my TBR since I first heard about it. It sounds like the *perfect* fake dating romance!
Princess and the Player by Ilsa Madden-Mills (11/8)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
I LOVED the first book in this series and even though this one contains my least favorite trope (unexpected pregnancy) I am excited about it. If you didn’t read Beauty and the Baller, don’t worry. Both can be read as stand-alones.
The Man I Never Met by Elle Cook (11/22)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
This one sounds intriguing to me. And I love the cover. Sometimes that’s all it takes for me to add a book to my TBR LOL
Better Than Fiction by Alexa Martin (11/8)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
A rom-com set in a bookstore? Say no more!
Pride and Puppies by Lizzie Shane (11/22)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
I love a good Pride and Prejudice retelling, don’t you??
November Mystery/Thrillers
Bleeding Heart Yard by Elly Griffiths (11/15)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
This book involves a high school reunion, which is one of my most favorite things to read about. Sign me up. This is apparently the third book in the series, but I’m thinking they can be read as stand-alones. I’m hoping anyways!
The Last Party by Clare Mackintosh (11/8)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
This thriller takes place during NYE, which will make for a good winter read. Clare Mackintosh is a great writer. Her books are slow burn, but always contain a shocking twist.
The Prisoner by B.A. Paris (11/1)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
B.A. Paris’ Behind Closed Doors is one of my favorite thrillers. I’ve loved several of this author’s books, so adding The Prisoner to my list was a no-brainer. I’m really excited about this one!
The Personal Assistant by Kimberly Belle (11/29)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
Kimberly Belle is one of my absolute favorite authors, and I’ve already heard amazing reviews for her latest thriller.
The Quarry Girls by Jess Lourey (11/1)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
This is a long shot because I’ve never read anything from this author, but it sounds like a really good small-town mystery. It’s also set in the 1970s which I love if it’s written well. Fingers crossed on this one.
The Break by Katie Sise (11/1)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
This sounds like it has unlikeable characters and an unreliable narrator. I love both when it comes to mystery/thrillers. Added.
November Holiday Books
A Very Merry Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams (11/1)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
The Bromance Book Club is one of my favorite series. I’ve been waiting for Colton’s story, so the fact that it’s holiday-themed makes me giddy. I cannot wait to read this.
The Christmas Wish by Lindsey Kelk (11/15)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
Emily Henry wrote a blurb for this one. I don’t need any more information. Emily Henry says read it? I’ll read it.
November Young Adult Books
Salt and Sugar by Rebecca Carvalho (11/1)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
I’ll admit, this was an impulse addition. I don’t know anything about this author, nor do I just absolutely fall in love with the synopsis, but there’s just something about it that’s speaking to me. I think it could be a really fun and lighthearted YA rom-com. Going with my gut on this one.
The Do-Over by Lynn Painter (11/15)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
Lynn Painter is my new favorite author. Mr. Wrong Number was her first adult romance book, and after falling in love with it, I went back and read her YA book, Better Than the Movies, and then her self-published adult romance, Accidentally Amy. All 3 books were 5-star reads for me. I cannot wait for The Do-Over.
Never Getting Back Together by Sophie Gonzales (11/29)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
Reality TV storyline + a cute book cover? Sold.
A Thousand Heartbeats by Kiera Cass (11/29)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
Kiera Cass is a long-time favorite of mine. The Selection series is one of my top 5 favorite series ever. The first three books anyways. Book 4 and 5 I loathe. Then she wrote The Siren, which I didn’t love. Then she wrote The Bethroned series, which I also didn’t love. BUT my love for The Selection keeps me coming back. Her new book is a stand-alone enemies to lovers. I’m hopeful.
November Nonfiction Books
Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing by Mathew Perry (11/1)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
I’m not a *huge* fan of Friends. I mean, I like the show and everyone that stars in it, but I’m not a major, die-hard fan. Still, the buzz around Matthew Perry’s upcoming memoir intrigues me.
The Light We Carry by Michelle Obama (11/15)
Add to Goodreads/Purchase on Amazon
I love Michelle Obama. I loved Becoming. I cannot wait for this new book.

So excited for a lot of these! Bromance is my #1 can’t wait for! I love books in a series…. started as a kid with Babysitters Club and Sweet Valley Twins! Haha

Hip hip hooray for second chance romance novels! It is actually one of my favorite romance sub-genres so I am so happy to find this post! I will be adding The Rewind to my TBR pile – Thank you for all the recommendations!
I have to share my favorite romance read of the year so far. It’s called “Awake” by Lisa Battalia and it’s book 1 of the Midlife Romance series (https://www.lisabattalia.com/). The main character Lori has dedicated her life to her family. Her career and dreams have all been put on hold to take care of her husband and children. So, what happens when after 20 years of marriage, her husband leaves? Lori reconnects with her old friend Brandon (the two have a bond that has remained strong even though they haven’t seen each other in a decade!) She plans an impromptu trip to visit him and CUE the steamy couldn’t-put-the-book-down-romance. However, I liked this book so much because it wasn’t just an easy reigniting of past love. They are both adults, with financial obligations, and children, and they can’t just run away and live happily ever after. The author writes about sexy grown-up characters that you can actually relate to.
I was rooting for them from start to finish. If you end up checking it out, I would love to know what you think! Happy Holidays and Happy Reading!
