Teacher Fashion: A Cold, Exhausting Week

Classroom· Fashion· lifestyle

We’ve officially entered the dreaded cold season. Y’all, I hate this time of year. It’s too cold to do anything except curl up with a blanket. The weather was so awful this week. It’s not a very exciting fashion recap, but here it is!

Monday

Sweater (sold out; similar here and here) pants, shoes

I loved a good polkadot sweater, and this one is so fun! I paired this Target sweater with some black jeans and suede mules. I got the sweater around November, but it isn’t available online anymore. I linked a couple of similar options šŸ™‚

Tuesday

sweater, leggings, shoes

I’m not a fan of this look, friends! The night before, I stayed up wayyyyy too late watching the national championship (Roll Tide!) and I was just a zombie the next day. I had a fun fashion look with a blazer and converse, but I couldn’t find the right pants for the look. It would have looked cute with jeans, but we can’t wear those to work šŸ™

Wednesday

sweater, leggings, shoes

Wednesday was such an incredibly cold day. Oh my goodness I was freezing all day long! I wore this buttery soft sweater that was warm and cozy! These little shoes are so surprisingly comfy! They are under $20 from Old Navy. Some are even $10! You know how sometimes cheaper shoes aren’t the best quality and don’t fit well? These are great!

Thursday

sweater (sold one, similar here and here; also dying for this one, which is on sale!), pink pants, shoes

My favorite outfit of the week! I’m a sucker for any heart print sweater! Pop in some pink and I’m loving it! Speaking of pink, these colored jeans come in a ton of colors. They are my go to pants for work. They do run a bit big, so maybe size down. I got my normal size, but I wish I had tried the next size down. I love how they go with so many different tops, which makes them perfect for teaching!

Friday

sweatshirt, leggings

Another Friday, another Aerie sweatshirt! Seriously y’all, I absolutely LOVE these sweatshirts. They are the best fit and come in a ton of colors/prints. I think I have 5 or 6 LOL. Highly recommend!

What I read this week šŸ©·šŸ“– It took me all wee What I read this week šŸ©·šŸ“–

It took me all week to read The Favorites by Layne Fargo, which usually means I’m not loving a book, but I’m thrilled that’s not the case with this book! It was just a super busy week for me so I didn’t read as much every day as I wanted, but I absolutely LOVED this book! It releases January 14, so mark your calendars now! I don’t even love figure skating/ ice dancing (honestly I’ve never even heard of this) and I still was obsessed with this book. Highly highly recommend!

Thanks for my early review copy, @atrandombooks

Synopsis:

She might not have a famous name, funding, or her family’s support, but Katarina Shaw has always known that she was destined to become an Olympic skater. When she meets Heath Rocha, a lonely kid stuck in the foster care system, their instant connection makes them a formidable duo on the ice. Clinging to skating—and each other—to escape their turbulent lives, Kat and Heath go from childhood sweethearts to champion ice dancers, captivating the world with their scorching chemistry, rebellious style, and roller-coaster relationship.

Until a shocking incident at the Olympic Games brings their partnership to a sudden end.

As the ten-year anniversary of their final skate approaches, an unauthorized documentary reignites the public obsession with Shaw and Rocha, claiming to uncover the ā€œreal storyā€ through interviews with their closest friends and fiercest rivals. Kat wants nothing to do with the documentary, but she can’t stand the thought of someone else defining her legacy. So, after a decade of silence, she’s telling her story: from the childhood tragedies that created her all-consuming bond with Heath to the clash of desires that tore them apart. Sensational rumors have haunted their every step for years, but the truth may be even more shocking than the headlines
